UVA lamp is particularly useful for comparing different types of polymer tests. Since the UVA tube does not have any 295 nm cutoff points below normal sunlight, usually they are degraded to the material as fast as the UVB tube. However, they can usually get better correlations for actual outdoor age.
UVA-340 provides simulation of sunlight in a region of 365 nm of critical short waves to the sun cut-off point 295 nm. The peak is transmitted at 340 nm. The UVA-340 lamp tube is particularly useful for comparison testing of different formulations.
UVA-351 imitates ultraviolet portions of sunlight through the window glass. Thisvalid for indoor applications, especially the loss of polymers that occur in window environments. This tube is more applications in home appliance coatings and automotive interior coatings.
